I needed to ask a question: “You are using project management as a key tool to manage many of the changes in the company. How is project management measured in your performance management system?” Silence was the reply!
I have asked several companies about this issue and I have had mixed comments – some do measure project management or some aspects of it, some do not get close to measuring it.
So, here’s a question; what about your company? Does your performance management system measure project management? Does it measure the impact of that project management training you attended? Does it look at project management development needs including different competencies?
